During this bizarre time in history that we are living through, it can be hard to remember what day it is, let alone get dressed up to work from home. People and businesses are struggling to get by. We are all worried about the health of our loved ones. We are all just trying to take this day by day as it comes. Something that has been helping me get through this time is seeing how my community is coming together to support one another despite the physical distance. People are buying gift cards and ordering takeout from local restaurants and shopping online at their favorite local shops.
I am unfortunately not working right now, and while I can’t afford to buy things from all of my favorite local businesses, I can continue to share about them online and show my support that way. I have put together this list of cozy loungewear that you can feel comfortable and fashionable wearing that supports shopping small, local businesses. You do not have to be from Cleveland to LOVE these brands!
I hope these small, female-owned brands brighten your day as they have done for me!
I have mentioned this super cute, nautical vibe brand in blog posts before and my grey “Salty” sweatshirt is still one of my favorites ever to this day! It is so soft and comfortable that I wear it all the time! There is also a new, cropped style hoodie as well that I am so tempted to buy! She also has many other beachy themed t-shirts, sweaters, and even beer koozies on her site.
ER has so many amazing styles from her hometown and empowerment lines to her custom shop and one-of-a-kind pieces. My favorite style right now has been lovingly tagged as “The Cleveland Groutfit” but it is also available in her custom shop and you can get anything you want to be written on your set. The set comes in a few other styles and colors too! ER is offering free shipping on all orders, no code needed.
Oceanne is known for its beautiful jewelry, but they also have the coziest t-shirts and sweatshirts as well. I wear my “Cleveland Babe” tee all the time, but their other styles are just as cool! I love the “Femme Libre” and “Empowered Women Empower Women” lines as well. Use code FREESHIP for free shipping.
This shop is all about dreamy, hand-embroidered items! She has the cutest sweatsuit right now that says “Stay Home” which is just perfect for the situation most of us are in at the moment. I have her Cleveland Skyline Baseball hat and I have been wearing it non-stop because, you know, who washes their hair anymore? Am I right? You can use promo code STAYHOME for 20% off any sweatsuit orders of $100+ or sign up for her newsletter for 20% off your first purchase.
Fetch & Co. Boutique
The ladies of Fetch & Co. are just some of the best people around and I couldn’t do a shop local list without including them! If you’re into the biker short trend, they have a nice, black pair available now. They also have leggings, joggers, and t-shirts as some other comfy options!
This local designer has some really cute and colorful quarantine-themed designs and $5 from each sweatshirt will go to The Greater Cleveland Foodbank. My personal favorite is the Blush “Distant Casual” sweatshirt.
This shop is brand new and packed with the most stylish finds! THD Shoppe is packed with fun graphic tees and I absolutely love the NIA coord-set and it looks so comfortable. Perfect for looking chic and drinking quarantinis if you ask me. Plus you’ll get free shipping on all domestic orders.
Aware Marketplace is one of the dreamiest boutiques in my city. Every detail is thought of and it is so aesthetically pleasing to walk into. Each piece is added with intentionality by the owner, Rachel, and each item she chooses to sell is ethically made for the conscious consumer. There are a lot of cozy ensembles to choose from on her website and everything is 20% off at checkout, plus free shipping. No code needed.
Yaya & Co.
No cozy list would be complete without some luxurious blankets! This ethical and sustainable brand is based in Cleveland but helps women all over the world to have a steady job and income where they are well treated and respected. All of the bedding is organic, all-natural, and Fair Trade and they are now planting a tree for every order. I had the pleasure of visiting the warehouse recently and I was blown away by the quality and beauty of their products.
If you aren’t in the financial situation to make any purchases right now, that is okay. You can also support your favorite local shops and brands by following and sharing about them on social media, liking and commenting on their posts, or writing them a 5-star review. This helps more than you would think and they will appreciate your support!
