I’ve partnered with Ohio. Find it Here. to share this amazing list of Black-owned businesses in Cleveland, Ohio. If you have been following my blog for a while, you will know that I am always talking about supporting local businesses (especially in these crazy Coronavirus times) but today I want to specifically call attention to some of the wonderful black-owned brands and restaurants that we are blessed to have in Northeast Ohio. Many of these are Black female-owned businesses as well, and you know I love a girls supporting girls moment over here!
During this bizarre time in history that we are living through, it can be hard to remember what day it is, let alone get dressed up to work from home. People and businesses are struggling to get by. We are all worried about the health of our loved ones. We are all just trying to take this day by day as it comes. Something that has been helping me get through this time is seeing how my community is coming together to support one another despite the physical distance. People are buying gift cards and ordering takeout from local restaurants and shopping online at their favorite local shops.
This past December, my husband and I felt like we needed to take a break from all of the busyness of the holiday season. We were overwhelmed with work, Christmas festivities, and all of the shopping that needed to get done, but we didn’t have a lot of time to do a big trip. Because of this, I thought it would be a great time to getaway into nature and try out a Getaway cabin for a night. I am so happy that we decided to take the time out of our hectic schedules to getaway!
Over the weekend I was fortunate enough to partner with Ohio. Find It Here. to bring you guys a weekend of Christmas cheer and holiday inspiration! My husband, Alex, and I stopped at two of the Ohio. Find It Here. Holiday Light Trail destinations to explore and experience the beauty and wonder of Christmas decor.
I have been begging my husband for years to take me on a staycation in Cleveland. I thought it would be a great opportunity to get away from the distractions of normal life and I wanted the opportunity to plan designated time to talk. Discussions would be centered around the previous year, as well as goals for the new year, planning out our budget for the year, and where we wanted to travel.
