When visiting Anna Maria Island you will want to try as many of the amazing restaurants as possible. Anna Maria Island does not allow many large national chains to come onto the island so you won’t have any trouble supporting small local businesses at this vacation destination! As someone who has visited Anna Maria Island frequently for the past 10 years, I have compiled a list of the best places to eat on Anna Maria Island (or AMI) that I will share in this Anna Maria Island restaurant guide!
Anna Maria Island is located in Manatee County, Florida on the Gulf of Mexico nearby Bradenton and Sarasota. The island is known for its charming Old Florida style, stunning, white-sand beaches, and clear water. It is one of the most beautiful destinations that I have visited in the United States! My family and I have been visiting Anna Maria Island (or AMI for short) for about 10 years now. I have relatives in the area that we visit often so I have learned all of the best spots. I’ve written this Anna Maria Island travel guide because I want to share one of my favorite places on earth with you, and let you in on all of the best things to do on Anna Maria Island during your trip!
Nestled peacefully into the stunning landscape of Ohio’s Amish Country is the Dwell Box Treehouse Village. When my husband and I were researching a unique place to stay in Ohio, we found these neat, modern accommodations on Airbnb. There are so many trendy AirBnbs now and we were super excited to get away for a night and try one out. We ended up staying at “The Shack” in Dundee, Ohio. It was the perfect size for the two of us to stay comfortably and it was very cozy! A peaceful retreat to Dwell Box Treehouse Village in Ohio was just what we needed.
One thing that I love about living in Ohio is being close to Lake Erie. I definitely took living in such proximity to one of the beautiful Great Lakes for granted growing up. Now that I am an adult, I think it would be really difficult for me to live anywhere that isn’t close to the beach – whether that be a lake or ocean. It is a part of me now and I just cannot stay away!
This year has been a crazy one to be sure. As a travel blogger who can’t really travel right now, it has been difficult to know what to share with you all. Luckily, I have found a lot of inspiration right in my own backyard. I have always loved living in Ohio, but now I am even more thankful to call this beautiful state my home. Ohio. Find It Here. has curated 10 lovely road trips for all types of interests and I am partnering with them again on another post to share some hometown travel inspiration with you today! In honor of Women’s Equality Day, I decided to stop and explore the International Women’s Air and Space Museum in Cleveland which happens to be one of the stops on the Women in History Road Trip.
Getaway has cozy tiny house-like cabins nestled away into nature just a short drive outside of 12 major cities (and counting!). Since we are Cleveland natives, we visited Getaway Beaver Creek outpost, which is conveniently located between Cleveland and Pittsburgh. The Getaway motto is, “Disconnect to reconnect…Unplug from work, wifi, and routines”. They purposely don’t have wifi and it’s very refreshing to unplug. There are even cell phone lock boxes if you are brave enough to use them!
